Due to growing culture of remote working as well as sophisticated cyber attacks on organizations operations cyber security has become a very important topic to address. Previously adopted perimeter defense like VPN, Firewall, DMZ, password policies, etc. need to be supplemented by employing proactive approach. These approach will hunt threats, ethically hack, deep analysis of logs and patterns on network traffic to quickly identify and protect the application and/or data.

Finally, awareness that operational technology systems (systems in the factories, warehouses and manufacturing lines, etc.) are just as, if not more, prone to such attacks has been increasing lately. The big issue faced by most organizations however, is the annual budget to build and support these activities also continues to grow exponentially. It is therefore, imperative to build a strong foundation that comprises of good network architecture and design, strong policies, tools, processes, and training along with the right mix of defensive and offensive postures.
